Armour Ladies Club under the patronage of its president Mrs Sheromi Liyanage organized a get-together with families of fallen war heroes living in Rathnapura District on 28 August 2019 at Ananda Maitreya Sanga Raja Viharaya, Rathnapura. Day began with the religious programme conducted in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen War Heroes and invoke blessing on all serving Officers/ Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army and all family members.
Armour Ladies organized a get-together with families of fallen war heroes living in Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts at 3rd Gamunu Watch, Matara on 03 August 2019. After sermon of bana in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen war heroes and invoke blessings for their family members, an interaction session was held to ascertain the grievances of war hero families. This session was followed by a lunch.
A special memorial mass organized by the Armour Ladies Club was held on 21 May 2019 at St. Andrews' Church – Modara to remember the victims of 21st April suicide attacks.
The 20th Annual General Meeting of the Armour Ladies Club was held on 16th March at the Cavalry Officers’ Mess, Home of Armour with the participation of 48 spouses of cavalry officers.
Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, President of the Armour Ladies Club, graced occasion as the Chief Guest and she was warmly welcomed by the Vice president Mrs Krishni Ranasinghe together with Secretary Mrs Ruchirani Wijedasa offering a flower bouquet on her arrival.
Members of the Armour Ladies Club visited to the ward No 05 of Mulleriyava Mental Hospital on 09th March 2018.
Day began with the visit to all inmates who are under treatments and ladies took time to interact and distribute gifts amongst them. Later, they all witnessed and actively involved in entertainment programme.
Armour Ladies Club donated a newly build house to Lance Corporal Wijewardana M D W (7 (V) SLAC) by spending Rs 1,472,000.00 for the construction works.
The house warming ceremony was held on 24th January 2019 at their new residence, Mahasenpura, Padaviya. The President of the Armour Ladies Club, Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, members of the Armour Ladies Club, The Deputy Centre Commandant SLAC, Lt Col P N Wijesiriwardana RSP USP and no of officers also were among the participants.
Prize giving ceremony for the winners of the Raffle draw 2018 organized by the Armour Ladies Club took place on 09th February 2019 at the Home of Armour. During the event, twenty eight prizes distributed among the lucky winners. The President of the Armour Ladies Club, Mrs Sheromi Liyanage graced occasion as the chief guest and no of members of the Armour Ladies Club, unit representatives were among the participants.
The Raffle Draw of Armour Ladies Club held on 28 December 2018 at Rock House Camp as a fund raising project under the patronage of Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, the President Armour Ladies Club.
The Armour Ladies Club Annual Raffle consisted of 33 prizes, which included a brand new three wheeler for the first prize, Brand new 100 CC motor bike for the second prize, 50” LED television for the third prize and attractive prizes such as 32” LED televisions, mobile phones, and microwave ovens.
Armour Ladies Club organized a Buddhist religious programme at the Rock House Camp premises on Friday, 04 May 2017 coincide with the Vesak Festival. The Bodhi Pujawa was the main event included in the religious programme in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen war heroes and invoke blessing on all serving Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army.
Annual General Meeting of the Armour Ladies Club was held on 17th March at the Auditorium, Home of Armour with the participation of a 62 spouses of cavalry officers.
Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, President of the Armour Ladies Club, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and she was warmly welcomed by the Vice president Mrs Krishni Ranasinghe together with Secretary Mrs Priyanthi Sooriyabandara offering a bouquet of flowers on her arrival.
