  • VISIT AT ‘ABHIMANSALA 2’ BY ARMOUR LADIES CLUB

    The President Mrs Sheromi Liyanage and members of the Armour Ladies Club have visited the ‘Abhimansala 2 - Kamburupitiya’, one of the Rehabilitation Centres of Sri Lanka Army on 13 September 2019. Day began with the visit to all war heroes who are undergoing rehabilitation and ladies took time to interact and distribute gifts amongst them.

  • A TRIBUTE TO FALLEN WAR HEROES

    Armour Ladies Club under the patronage of its president Mrs Sheromi Liyanage organized a get-together with families of fallen war heroes living in Rathnapura District on 28 August 2019 at Ananda Maitreya Sanga Raja Viharaya, Rathnapura. Day began with the religious programme conducted in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen War Heroes and invoke blessing on all serving Officers/ Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army and all family members.

  • WELFARE PROGRAMME FOR FAMILIES OF KIA SOLDIERS

    Armour Ladies organized a get-together with families of fallen war heroes living in Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts at 3rd Gamunu Watch, Matara on 03 August 2019. After sermon of bana in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen war heroes and invoke blessings for their family members, an interaction session was held to ascertain the grievances of war hero families. This session was followed by a lunch.

  • Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Clinches the Army Inter Regiment Cricket Championship 2019

    Sri Lanka Armoured Corps emerged Champions of the Army 'A' Division Cricket during the finals held on 26 July 2019 at Panagoda beating the Sri Lanka Artillery team by 8 wickets.

  • ARMOUR LADIES JOIN THE DRIVE OF REFORESTATION PROJECT AT WILPATHTHU

    Armour ladies joined the ‘Thuruliya Wenuwen Api' reforestation project initiated by the Sri Lanka Army at Wilpattu Forest Reserve area. The President of Armour Ladies Club Mrs Sheromi Liyanage and other members symbolically planted few saplings around the Marichchakaddi area and handed over 300 environmental friendly saplings of rare species such as Kumbuk, Mee, Magosa, Mahogany, etc to be planted in Wilpattu Forest Reserve.

  • ARMOUR LADIES CLUB ORGANIZED A REMEMBRANCE MASS FOR VICTIMS OF EASTER SUNDAY ATTACK

    A special memorial mass organized by the Armour Ladies Club was held on 21 May 2019 at St. Andrews' Church – Modara to remember the victims of 21st April suicide attacks.

    Keeping the cavalry spirit high, following Officers of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps have done extremely well during recently culminated Junior Command and Junior Staff Courses at OCDC, Buttala.

  • ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WAS HELD ON 17th MARCH 2018

    The 20th Annual General Meeting of the Armour Ladies Club was held on 16th March at the Cavalry Officers’ Mess, Home of Armour with the participation of 48 spouses of cavalry officers.

    Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, President of the Armour Ladies Club, graced occasion as the Chief Guest and she was warmly welcomed by the Vice president Mrs Krishni Ranasinghe together with Secretary Mrs Ruchirani Wijedasa offering a flower bouquet on her arrival.

  • ARMOUR LADIES VISIT THE MULLERIYAVA HOSPITAL

    Members of the Armour Ladies Club visited to the ward No 05 of Mulleriyava Mental Hospital on 09th March 2018.

    Day began with the visit to all inmates who are under treatments and ladies took time to interact and distribute gifts amongst them. Later, they all witnessed and actively involved in entertainment programme.
