Security Force - West organized Human Rights Lecture to enhance the knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks serving under the SFHQ (West) AOR on 21 March 2018 at the lecture hall of Bodhirajaramaya - Panagoda.

Troops of the 14 Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) who promptly rushed to Grandpass where a building has collapsed Wednesday (14) afternoon, injuring scores of people, are currently engaged in rescue and evacuation operations under the close supervision of Major General Ralph Nugera, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 14 Division.
Alert to the sudden accident, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army instructed Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Commander Security Forces – West (SF-West) to take necessary steps and attend to the immediate needs and other rescue operations as necessary.
