With the objective of educating Officers and Other Ranks on the 'Basic utilization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & its Related Applications'; a two-day workshop was organized during 08 & 09 April 2021 at the Security Force Headquarters-West. 55 Officers and 25 Other Ranks from under command formations of SFHQ - West, SFHQ -Central and 53 Inf Division participated in the workshop.
The workshop was conducted by brigadier (record & planning) research, analysis, projection and development branch, Brigadier sudath udayasena under the guidance of the commander security forces-west and with the guidance of the directorate of operations.
