  • Distribution of School Aids and Dry/Fresh Ration Packs for Students in Jaffna

    In another community welfare project under the Civil-Military Coordination (CIMIC) programme, the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) organized a donation of essential school items and dry/fresh ration packs for school children in Palaly North Government Mix Tamil School (GMTS) on Sunday 20 November 2022.

  • School Students Visit to Palaly Airport

    Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) facilitated another visit of school students to Palaly Airport on Saturday, 12th November 2022. A number of 40 students and 39 parents of J/Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalayam School in Puttur, visited the premises of Palaly Airport along with their teachers and parents to experience the scenery of aircraft.

  • Donation of School Items for Students at Maruthankerny Valluwar Pre - School

    Troops of 10th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the 553 Infantry Brigade under the 55 Division of the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), extending the Army’s helping hand towards deserving students donated 30 packs of school items to the students of Valluwar pre - school at Maruthankerny on 09th November 2022.

  • Donation of Dry Rations to Expectant Mothers by Provost Ladies’ Club

  • 52 Infantry Division Organised a Volleyball Match

    As per the concept made by the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Major General K P S A Fernando RWP RSP ndu, to maintain goodwill among the Army and Tamil Community, the staff of 52 Infantry division organised a friendly Volleyball Match between Kachchai Kings Volleyball Team and Meesalai Ayankaran Volleyball Team.

    Keeping another step forward in the endeavour of 55 Infantry Division to provide an opportunity for the school children in the AOR to learn English Language, another class was commenced at Headquarters 1st Mechanized Infantry Regiment, IYAKKACHCHI, JAFFNA.

  • Another Community Project By Troops of 55 Infantry Division to Enable A Widow to Make A Living

    An Army initiative, taken by the 55 Infantry Division resulted in the donation of a sewing machine to a necessitous but courageous widow, Maduran Nadiya (Age 36) resident in the general area of Kevil in Jaffna under command to 55 Infantry Division on 29th October 2022 as an effort to bring economic stability and empowering the well deserving family. Further, the troops of 55 Infantry Division extended their support to make a proper place for tailoring with the intention of laying the foundation strengthening the backbone of the family and the bedrock of a Nation.

  • Troops have Shared their Support with Tamil Community for the Deepavali Festival

  • Kalaimathi Sports Club Emerged Winners in the Major General Ravi Ratnasingham Challenge Trophy

    Kalaimathi Sports Club emerged winners of the Major General Ravi Ratnasingham Challenge Trophy -2022; the Inter-Club Soccer Tournament in Karaveddi and Point Pedro DS divisions, organized by the 551 Infantry Brigade, celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Army, under the supervision of Major General Prasanna Gunaratne, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division in accordance with the conceptual guidance of Major Genenral Chandana Wijayasundara, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna).

  • 51 Infantry Division Troops Contributed for Deepavali Festival

    As per the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Major General Mahendra Fernando all Kovils in Jaffna were arranged for the Deepavali festival for the devotees to attend the rituals with comfortness along with the respective priests by the under command Brigades.
