With a view to improving information technology skills of Army Personnel serving in Jaffna peninsula, Ranaviru Information Technology Training Institute Jaffna (RITTI- Jaffna) conducted a one-month computer course as the first phase. The training institute located near Thissa Temple, Kankasanthurai was established under direct supervision of Office of Chief Signal Officer under conceptual guidance of Commander Security Forces – Jaffna. The instructional and technical guidance were offered by 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps for the training of course attendees.

55 Infantry Division had refurbished 42 x bicycles as the first phase of restoring bicycles which had been kept unattended for extended of time period. On behalf of General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division, Colonel Admin and Quartering had distributed those restored bicycles and head gears among battalions on 30 March 2023.

With the broad concept of a healthy soldier, a robust mentality physical fitness and to enhance the cohesion and comradeship among troops, a soft ball cricket tournament was organized for 553 Infantry brigade troops at brigade headquarters recently. On 10 and 11 February 2023, the softball cricket tournament was held by the 553 Infantry Brigade and under command elements with co-located Battalion Training School of the 55 Infantry Division. The event was organized under the guidance of Commander 553 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Janak Premathilake.
