The most revered Galigamuwe Gnanapradeepa Thero gave an inspiring and motivating Dhamma discourse to Officers and Other Ranks of the 55 Infantry Division in the evening of 10 January 2023. The Thero has a stellar reputation as wise priest, who devoted himself to the betterment of society through the preaching of the Dhamma.
The Dhamma preaching was arranged in line with the beginning of new year 2023 as the first sermon of the year as per the conceptual guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division, Major General Prasanna Gunarathne. This timely and valuable sermon focused on life philosophy to assist participants to cope with existing social economic encounters and to live better lives.
The Commander 552 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wijayanath Jayaweera had coordinated the event. More than 500 participants including Colonel Janak Premathilake, Commander 553 Infantry Brigade, Staff Officers of the Division, and Other Ranks attended to this noble event.
