  • A Chess Training workshop Initiated for Troops of Jaffna

    A five day chess Training workshop for troops of Jaffna was conducted under the guidance of commander Security Forces Jaffna. Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu at the premises of Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna from 7th March 2022 to 11th March 2022.

  • 2nd Basic English Language Course in 2022 Commenced in Jaffna

    As the concept of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, 2nd Basic English language course for troops in Jaffna peninsula was commenced on 08 March 2022 and it will be terminated on 08 April 2022.

  • Funeral Honours Team Provides Final Respect to Cfn Vivek N of Achchuweli

    A military funeral that took place on 04 March 2022 at Achchuweli Cemetery, saluted to one of the most dedicated Tamil soldier who joined the 2nd Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from Jaffna peninsula. S/M101392 Cfn Vivek N was residing at Muthumari Amman Kovilladi, Achchuweli passed away last Thursday 3rd March 2022, due to sickness while on service having served the Army for more than 8 years.

  • English Language Course Ends Successfully

    A One - month Basic English Language course to improve English Language Skills of Soldiers serving in the Jaffna Peninsula was conducted by Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna from 18th January 2022 to 18th February 2022. Thirty Five Soldiers from various regiments benefitted from this course, which covered different aspects of the language and its application.

  • Newly Promoted GOC Welcomed By Troops of 52 Infantry Division

    The newly- promoted General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division Major General Samantha Wickramasena RWP RSP USP psc was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers of the Division Headquarters and honoured in a Guard Turnout presented by troops 4 Battalions of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, and He also left memories by planting a sapling to mark the event, followed by a group photograph.

  • Security Forces – Jaffna Discussions on Coordination Of Organic Fertilizer Production Continue

  • Blood Donation Campaign Organized by 552 Infantry Brigade - 2 February 2022

    As per the instructions of the General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division, Brigadier MKUP Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, and Brigadier RP Munipura RWP RSP Commander 552 Infantry Brigade, a blood donation campaign is organized at the 552 infantry Brigade premises on 02 February 2022.

  • Indian Peace Keeping Force Fallen Heroes Remembered in Jaffna on The Republic Day of India

    On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day of India, Security Forces Jaffna and Acting Consulate General of India in Jaffna paid tributes in the memory of fallen heroes of the 10th Para Commando Regiment of Indian Army who sacrificed their lives during the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) operation “Operation Pawan” in Jaffna between year 1987 and 1989. The commemoration ceremony was held at the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) monument in Palaly, Jaffna on Wednesday, 26 January 2022.

  • Security Forces - Jaffna Commenced a Workshop for Coordination of Organic Fertilizer Production for Yala Season 2022

    As per the direction and guidance of Head of the Green Agriculture Operation Centre and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, Security Forces - Jaffna commenced a 04 days’ workshop on 24 January 2022 at Agriculture Training Centre, Thirunelvely in close collaboration with relevant state agencies. The workshop will be terminated on 29 January 2022. The aim of the workshop is to create a healthy generation of eco-friendly health care environment in line with the His Excellency the President's Vision of ‘Vistas Prosperity’ National Programme.
