Mr. Nithya Silva recently wrapped off a two-day photography workshop at the Headquarters 55 Infantry Division in Jaffna, designed specifically for officers and other ranks into photography at the Security Forces Jaffna. The goal of the two-day tailor made programme was to improve participants' aiming, framing, and focusing abilities in order to create photographs of superior quality and effectiveness. The participants of the Security Forces Jaffna lacked the necessary understanding regarding photography, making it difficult for them to get good shots during events.
04 x 31 officers and other ranks from Headquarters 55 Infantry Division, its three Brigades, Battalions, 51 and 52 Infantry Divisions, and Headquarters Security Forces Jaffna attended the programme.
The test images taken of each participant at the workshop's close showed an extraordinary degree of effort. Mr Nithya Silva, who has extensive experience in the field, oversaw and praised the workshop's final product.
Mr. Nithya Silva, a respected figure in the photography field, generously spent time to our excited class. Lieutenant LDI Liyanaarachchi coordinated the workshop which was the intention of General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne.
