4thSri Lanka Service Corps located at Hingurakgoda under the FMA (E) in the AOR of Security Force (East) protected the damaged bund of Kaudulla Tank using sand bags on 21 December 2014.

12th (Vol) Regt Sri Lanka Artillery under 232 Brigade of 23 Division in the area of Security Force (East) has distributed lunch packets for flood affected families at Dalukana area in Dimbulagala DS Division on 20thDec 2014. (No of troops participated 02 x 10)

12th (Vol) Regt Sri Lanka Artillery under 232 Brigade of 23 Division in the area of Security Force (East) assisted to conduct a Christmas ceremony at Methodistha Misanari Tamil School in Thirukkovil in Ampra on 20th to 23rd Dec 2014. (No of troops participated 02 x 07)

7th Fd Engr troops organized medical clinics and distributed lunch packets for 431 persons at Cooperative Society Diwulana and 202 persons at Alzar (Navodya) Vddayalaya who were affected by the flood on 23rd Dec 2014.

Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG visited welfare centers in Polonnaruwa District to find out the Daly needs of flood victims in welfare centers on 23rd Dec 2014.

24 SLNG under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) distributed dry ration for displaced people in Wadumunei and Uththuchenai area on 24 December 2014. Distributed items - 21 of 50 kg Rice Packs, 03 of 50 kg Sugar Packs, 03 of 25 kg Dhal Packs, 220 Bed sheets and 20 Mats etc.

241 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) assisted, coordinated and distributed more than 500 lunch packets on 24.12.2014 in Ninthavur DS division with the Ninthavur Jumma Mosque Federation to the flood affected people in Ninthavur DS area.

18th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located at Kurukkalmadam under the 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) provided cooked meals to rescued people who have been temporally housed in Thiruneththrakerni Preschool and Al Amena Vidyalaya in Ariyanpathi (South) Divisional Secretariat area on 24 December 2014. (No of Troops Participated 03 x 15)

12th Gajaba Regiment located at Batticaloa under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) donated lunch packets for 75 displaced persons in Nochchimunei village in Manmunei North DS Division on 23 December 2014. (No of Troops Participated 01 x 10)
