The 23 Infantry Division proudly hosted its Aluth Avurudu Festival on 18 April 2025, bringing together officers, soldiers, their families, and members of the local community in a vibrant celebration of Sinhala and Tamil New Year traditions.

Under the guidance of Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division, the 4th Battalion of the Gamunu Watch, deployed under the 232 Infantry Brigade, successfully organized a community welfare program on 17 April 2025 at the Yogasuwami Hindu Girls' Children’s Home in Valachchenai.

Bak Poya is a significant day in the Buddhist calendar, marking Lord Buddha's visit to Nagadeepa. This visit, which took place in the month of April, was his second visit to Sri Lanka after attaining enlightenment.

Pathiravithana USAWC PSC, Commander, Security Forces (East), 23 Infantry Division conducted the MINI EASTERN SENTINEL 2025 Seminar at the 23 Infantry Division Headquarters Officers' Quarters on 03 April 2025 under the theme of Enhancing the Professionalism of the Sri Lanka Army and its Contribution to National Development. The General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General P. S. Subhat Sanjeewa RSP NPS PSC, Senior Officer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
