241 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND 18 VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT CONDUCT DONATION PROGRAM FOR PREGNANT MOTHERS AND LOW-INCOME FAMILIES

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General PR Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, and the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division, troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade and the 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, with the sponsorship of Hemas (Pvt) Ltd, organized a donation program on 16th March 2025 in Nawagampura, Ampara.

SCHOOL EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTION TO STUDENTS OF DIYABEDUMA SINHALA KATUKELIYAWA PRIMARY SCHOOL

Under the direction and supervision of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, and following the instructions of the Commander, Logistics Command (East), a school equipment distribution program was conducted for the students of Diyabeduma Sinhala Katukeliyawa Primary School. The distribution ceremony took place on March 13, 2025.

243 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND 11 (V) BATTALION OF SRI LANKA SINHA REGIMENT CONDUCTED A BACKYARD CHIECKS, DRY RATION PACKS AND COCANUT PLANTS FOR 30 LOW INCOME FAMILIES .

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc and the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division, Troops of the 243 Infantry Brigade ,11 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment with the sponsorship of the "Hemas (Pvt) Ltd conducted backyard chieks, dry ration packs and cocanut plants for 30 of low income families in Kokadicholay area at Mahiladithu cultural center on 13 th march 2025.

MAJOR GENERAL K V N P PREMARATHNE RSP USP npspsc MADE HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO THE 5 (V) REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARTILLERY AFTER ASSUMING DUTIES AS COLONEL COMMANDANT SRI LANKA ARTILLERY

The Adjutant General and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc made his first battalion visit to the 5 (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Kantale on 26 February 2025. The Senior Officer was accorded with a guard turnout and was welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major D G I A Kumara SLA. The visit was unfolded with planting of a sapling, group photograph, COs' briefing, troop address, camp visit and lunch in the Officers' mess. At the end of the troop address, a memento was presented to the Colonel Commandant by the Commanding Officer and RSM to mark his visit to 5 (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, and the program was concluded after marking remarks in the visitors' book
