Under the conceptual guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG and General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry constructed a new house on the request made Mrs. J Sripathy, the Divisional Secretary of the Thambalagamuwa Divisional Secretariat to a needy family. The lucky recipient of the house is Mr Chitra Velayudham Lingeshwaram Sharma who has been living in a makeshift house with his disabled daughter and the family at Thambalagamuwa.

Considering the nourishment requirement of pregnant mothers of low-income families, the 231 Infantry Brigade distributed dry ration packs among 75pregnant mothers residing in Aralaganwila area in Polonnaruwa district on Thursday (02 Nov) at the Aralaganwila“Pratibha” auditorium.
