  • GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING (GOC) – 12 INFANTRY DIVISION MAKES OFFICIAL VISITS TO GROUND LEVEL CAMPS

    GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING (GOC) – 12 INFANTRY DIVISION MAKES OFFICIAL VISITS TO GROUND LEVEL CAMPS General Officer Commanding (GOC) – 12 Infantry Division, Major General Lanka Amarapala along with Commander 122 Infantry Brigade made a field visit to under command Battalions. 3rd Sri Lanka National Guard and 23rd Battalion the Gajaba Regiment on 06 and 07 September 2022. The GOC was welcomed by the Commanding Officers of 3rd Sri Lanka National Guard and 23rd Battalion the Gajaba Regiment on the arrival and briefed the GOC about the responsibilities, role and task of respective battalions. Afterwards, the GOC addressed the troops and appreciated duties carried out during recent unrest situations. Further GOC highlighted impotency of the army contribution for the national security. Finely GOC stressed the impotence of preventing traffic accidents, raising awareness about illegal activities as well as maintaining a high level of discipline among Officers and Other Ranks.
