  • FOREIGN DEFENCE ATTACHES ARRIVE AT SF HQ (CEN)

    A delegation of Defence Attaches with their families visit the Military Establishments in the island and the tour commenced from North. As their fainal Military establishment they visited the Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 19 December 2020 and the Senior Officers of the headquarters Warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Commander SF (Cen).

  • THE CONSUL GENERAL OF INDIA IN HAMBANTOTA VISITS HEADQUARTERS OF 12 INFANTRY DIVISION

    Consul General of India, Hambantota, Mr. Dipin P.R called on the 12 Infantry Division which is under command to Security Forces (Central) on 8 December 2020.

  • NEW COLONEL COORD (VOLUNTEER) ASSUMES DUTIES

    Colonel J M L Jayasundara RWP of Sinha Regiment assumed duties as the new Colonel Coordinator of (Volunteer) Force at the Security Force Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 17 December 2020 at the office premises.

  • NEW STAFF OFFICER 2 (LOGISTICS) OF SFHQ (CENTRAL) ASSUMES DUTIES

    Major D L Y K Lakpura of Sri Lanka National Guards, assumed duties as the new Staff Officer 2 ( Supply and Transport ) at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 01 December2020. Major Lakpura is a well experienced senior officer who has discharged duties in many establishments in the island. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) extended their wishes to the newly appointed Staff Officer.

    Colonel N P Hettiarachchi RWP RSP of the Sri Lanka Comando Regiment assumed duties as the new Colonel (Admin & Quarter) at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 14 November 2020 at the office premises.

    Colonel W M P W N D B Weerakoon RSP USP assumed duties as the Colonel (Coord) at Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 26 October 2020 at the office premises.

  • CENTRAL TROOPS CONTROLLED A SUDDEN FIRE IN SF (CEN ) AOR

    27th October 2020 20:39:06 Hours

    The wild fire occurred on 26 October 2020 in Welimada area doused by the troops of SF HQ (Cen) on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General H P N K Jayapathirane RSP. A team consisting of one officer and twenty soldiers from SF HQ (Cen) reached the place immediately and doused the wild fire completely.

  • TROOPS EXTINGUISH THE WILD FIRE IN NORWOOD AREA

    15th October 2020 09:13:54 Hours

    The wild fire occurred in Norwood area in Haldummulla on 13 October 2020 was controlled by the troops. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). Therefore, fifteen soldiers from this Headquarters rushed to the place and controlled the fire on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. Moreover, one officer and twenty five soldiers from Volunteer Force Training School, Diyatalawa also assisted to douse the fire.

    The wild fire occurred on 12 October 2020 in Wangedigala area in Haldummulla was doused by the troops of SF HQ (Cen) on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. A team consisting of one officer and fifteen soldiers reached the place immediately and doused the wild fire completely. Moreover, one officer and twenty five soldiers from Volunteer Force Training School, Diyatalawa also assisted to douse the fire.
