Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier KAWS Rathnayake ndu graced this occasion as the Chief Guest and he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 3(V) SLAWC at the arrival.

A Railway Commuter, foreign lady Ms Salene Solanae (26yers) from France was accidentally fallen down form the train at 32 tunnel area while travelling from Ohiya to Idalgashinna. She was initially admitted to Haputhale hospital and later transferred to Diyathalawa hospital on 03 Feb 2022 for further treatments.

In concurrence with the 74th National Independence Day, a Shramadana Campaign was conducted by the troops of SFHQ (Cen) along with under command battalions to clean the road running from Diyathalawa to Haputhale on 03 February 2022.
