  • NEW BRIGADIAR ADMIN AND QUARETING OF SFHQ (CENTRAL) ASSUME DUTIES

    Brigadier K P S Silva of Sri Lanka Service Corps assumed duties as the new Brigadier Admin and Quartering at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 10 July 2020 at the office premises.

  • MILITARY PERSONNEL DONATED BLOOD

    A blood donation campaign was organized by the 11 Division which is under command to Security Forces (Central) on 01 July 2020 in conjunction with the General Hospital Kandy. This campaign was organized under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division. Consequently, seven Officers and 145 Other Ranks from 11 Division and its under command formations donated blood at this campaign.

  • ANOTHER TEAM RELEASED AFTER THE QUARANTINE PROCESS

    After 14 days quarantine process, 22 personnel who came from Bangladesh were released under medical instructions from Rantembe Quarantine Centre on 02 July 2020. Further, the quarantine certificates were also issued before they left the premises.

    Colonel S A U A Solangaarachchi RSP psc assumed duties as the Colonel General Staff at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 01 June 2020 at the office premises.

  • ARMY TROOPS LAUNCHED DENGUE ELIMINATION PROGRAMMES

    The Military personnel conducted a campaign from 25 June 2020 to 27 June 2020 in Aruppala and Heerussagala areas in Kandy District to eliminate dengue menace. This campaign was conducted with the assistance of eight Police officers, eleven Public Health Inspectors, six Midwives and six labourers. Further, seventeen soldiers also actively participated in this. During the campaign, 587 houses and surroundings were inspected by the mentioned team.

  • TROOPS CONTROLLED A SUDDEN FIRE IN SF (CEN ) AOR

    23rd June 2020 21:02:25 Hours

    The wild fire occurred on 20 June 2020 in Haputale area was doused by the troops on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. The affected area is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). A team consisting of two officers and twenty five soldiers reached the place immediately and controlled the fire.

  • MILITARY PERSONNEL ASSIST A DENGUE ERADICATION PROGRAMME.

    A Dengue Eradication Programme was launched at Kadadora and Mawela areas which are located in the 11 Division area of responsi ble In order to control the threat of spreading dengue fever in the area troops of 112 Brigade assisted this programme on 16 June 2020.

  • ANOTHER TEAM RELEASED AFTER THE QUARANTINE PROCESS

    After the quarantine process, 14 personnel were released under medical instructions from the Quarantine Centres at 1st Battalion the Gemunu Watch and Army Base Hospital Diyatalawa on 18 June 2020. Further, the quarantine certificates were also issued before they left the premises.

  • TROOPS CONDUCTED A SPECIAL DENGUE ELIMINATION PROGRAMME

    15th June 2020 21:43:16 Hours

    A special programme to eliminate dengue was lounged by the troops of 111 Brigade which is under command to Security Forces (Central). This programme was conducted on 13 June 2020 at Dodamwala, Muruthalawa, Mahakanda and Kengalla areas by one Officer and forty Other Ranks from 111 Brigade. Further, the civilians of the area also assisted them to destroy the mosquito breeding places.

  • MILITARY PERSONNEL LAUNCH A DENGUE ERADICATION PROGRAMME

    A Dengue Eradication Programme was launched in Katukele, Kiribathkumbura, Augusterwatta, Rajawella, Niyangandora and Dickoya on 12 June 2020 by the personnel of 111 and 112 Brigades. With the participation of one Officer and fifty one other ranks, this campaign was conducted to control the threat of spreading dengue fever.
