VESAK CELEBRATIONS IN DIYATALAWA GARRISON TOWN

Troops of Security Force Headquarters (Central), organized a colourful Vesak Zone and a Rotti Dansala in Diyatalawa on the Vesak Full-moon Poya day, 05 May 2023.

On the directives of the Commander, Security Force (Central) troops of Security Force Headquarters, Forward Maintenance Area (Central) and from under command battalions contributed to erect number of picturesque rotation lanterns in the Vesak Zone which illuminated the eve.

The Vesak Zone and the Rotti Dansala were inaugurated by Major General Mohan Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander Security Force (Central). Thousands of people were provided with free eateries at the Rotti Dansala. The magnificent Vesak Zone that continued for three days, attracted a massive crowd of sightseers in Diyatalawa and outskirts.
