A sudden bushfire occurred in Monaragala Madurukatiya area and it was extinguished under the direction of the Commander SFHQ (Central) Major General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and the supervision of the General Officer Commanding (Overlooking) of 12 Infantry Division, Brigadier PKWWMJSBW Pallekubura RWP RSP by the troops of 121 Infantry Brigade on 16 September 2021. Further, 01 x 15 troops took prompt action to extinguish the bushfire after hard efforts.
