SCHOOL CHILDREN RECEIVE DONATIONS BY ARMY

Upon the conceptual direction by Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, troops around the island organized many donation programs to uplift the standards of education received by the children from low-income families. Accordingly, with the supervision of Commander Security Force (Central), troops under command to the field formation organized another donation program to distribute stationery packs for 50 school children in Southam Tamil Vidyalaya, Demodara - Badulla District.

The event was held at the school premises and Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Central), Brigadier Kumara Wanasinghe RSP USP graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Senior Staff Officers, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs of the headquarters, Officers, Troops and School children witnessed the occasion.
