  • 12 INFANTRY DIVISION CELEBRATE ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY

    12 Inf Div HQ celebrated its 10th anniversary on 02nd April 2021. Consequently a serious of activities were launched giving precedence to the religious observances with collaboration of Maj Gen RADP Ranawaka RWP RSP USP ndc psc the GOC of 12 inf div to mark the event.

  • DEMONSTRATION ON GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM

    A demonstration on Geographic Information System (GIS) was conducted by Institute of Surveying & Mapping, Diyatwlawa in view of enhancing the basic knowledge and operational capabilities on GIS system for Army personnel on 07 April 2021. A number of 30 Army personnel were participated in this event.

  • VISIT OF THE SRI LANKA AND PAKISTAN ARMY PERSONNEL

    The Exercise Shake Hand, Joint Military Training Exercise was conducted from 15 March 2021 to 30 March 2021. The troops who participated in the exercise visited thePeradeniya Botanical Garden which is under 11InfantryDivisionAOR on 28 March 2021. General Officer Commanding11 Infantry Division Major General S M S P B Samarakoon RWP RSP participated in this occasion.

  • MILITARY ASSISTANCE WAS EXTENDED TO CLEANPUSSA RAJA MAHA VIHARAYA, HAMBANTHOTA

    A cleaning programme was launched in Pussa Raja MahaViharaya, Hambanthota which is located in the area of 12 Infantry Brigade on 27March 2021. Soldiers from 3 Sri Lanka National Guard which is under command to 122 Infantry Brigade extended their assistance to conduct this programme.

  • VICTIMS OF PASSARA BUS ACCIDENT WERE RESCUED BY THE TROOPS OF THE 112 BRIGADE

    25th March 2021 15:56:21 Hours

    A passenger bus skidded off and fell into a precipice of more than 200 ft at the 13th Mile Post near Passara area. Army troops of the 112 Brigade of the 11 Infantry Division carried out the rescue operations.

  • 23 GR & 3 SLNG TROOPS EXTEND THEIR ASSISTANCE TOWARDS COMMUNITY WORK

    23 Gajaba Regiment (GR) and 3 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops which are under command to the 122 Infantry Brigade of the 12 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Central jointly launched a community-oriented project by cleaning the road passage to Vedasitikanda in Kataragama and its surrounding areas on Sunday (14).

  • CENTRAL TROOPS WERE LECTURED ON BENEFITS OF BENEVOLENT FUND

    Military personnel of Security Force Headquarters (Central) and its under command formations were lectured on the Benevolent Fund of Sri Lanka Army which promotes the concept of thrift among the military personnel. The Director of Army Benevolent Fund, Brigadier R P S Padmashantha conducted the lecture in order to make aware the military personnel on the benefits of it. This lecture was conducted on the direction of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General H P N K Jayapathirana RSP on 22 February 2021.

  • NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF ASSUMES DUTIES

    Brigadier K A W S Rathnayake ndu assumed duties as the new Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time on 18 February 2021 at the office premises.

  • 11 DIV COMPLETES ELEVEN YEARS

    11 Division of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) celebrated the 11th anniversary of establishing the Division in the Central Province on 15 February 2021. Accordingly, a series of programmes were launched with the supervision of Major General S M S P B Samarakoon RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division in order to celebrate the above event.

  • ENGINEER TROOPS UNDERTAKE THE RENOVATIONS OF THE PLAYGROUND AT KAIKAWALA PRIMARY SCHOOL

    HE the President on a visit to Meemure village for “Gama Samaga Pilisandarak”, a community interaction session instructed to renovate the playground of Kaikawala Primary School in Meemure responding to a request made by the students as well as the parents. Accordingly, the preparatory work of the playground and the constructing a new two story classroom complex which were a long felt need for the school entrusted to the Sri Lanka Army.
