A wild fire erupted at Mahakanda in Watagoda area of Kandy suburb, was doused by troops of 2 Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment on 14 February 2023. A number of 12 members in the battalion located in Kandy rushed to the wild fire scene on the instructions given by Major General Mohan Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu Commander Security Force (Central), as quick response to emergency need.
