The Diners Club for the Non Commissioned Officers of the Gajaba Regiment was held at Swimming Pool on 24 March 2018 with the direction of Col of the Regt the Gajaba Regiment, Major General Shavendra Silva. The programme was held for enhancing the mental and health capacity of NCOs’ of the Gajaba Regiment.

With collaboration of 35 Anniversary of the Gajaba Regiment conducted Inter Battalion Drill Competition on March 2018. The prize giving ceremony of competition was held at the indoor Gymnasium Regimental Centre, Gajaba Regiment on 26 March 2018. GOC of the 61 Division Maj Gen DMS Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu grace the occasion as chief guest and 20th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment became the champions of the competition.

The Gajaba Regiment held its 2nd Colours Awarding Ceremony to appreciate the achievements of the Gajaba sportsmen in the various fields of sports on 20 March 2018 at Bishop’s College Auditorium, Colombo. The Commander of the Army, Lt Gen Mahesh Senanayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and accompanied by President of the Sri Lanka Army Seve Vanitha Branch, Mrs Chandrika Senanayake. Further, former Test Cricket Captain, veteran Cricketer and Coach Mr Mahela Jayawardena also graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour with the invitation of the Col of the Regiment, Maj Gen Shavendra Silva. There were 101 colour recipients awarded with Gajaba Colours during the event.
