The donation programme of Essential Equipments was organized by the Seva Vanitha branch of the Gajaba Regiment under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Rekha Senadeera, President of the Gajaba Regiment and it was held at HQBN GR Senapura on 29th October 2017. During the event items of wheel chairs, crutches, white canes and toilet fittings were distributed to differently able officers and soldiers of HQBN GR. The Colonel of the Regiment the Gajaba Regiment and Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army, Maj Gen Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Maj Gen DSNK Senadeera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, Maj Gen NA Dharmarathna WWV RWP RSP ndu psc, Maj Gen DMS Dissanayaka WWV RWP RSP USP ndu and the Centre Commandant Col WHKS Peiris RWP RSP USP participated the event.

The Gajaba Regiment, commemorated its 34th Anniversary Day Saturday (14) morning by greeting a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities and awarded a magnificent and sententious parade.The day Chief Guest Maj Gen Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army and Col of the Gajaba Regiment, and he was received by Col WHKS Peiris RWP RSP USP, the Centre Commandant the Gajaba Regiment. The Parade Commander Lt Col SDKWMMI Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc reviewed the parade and presented by representative troops of 24 platoons including 28 officers and 746 other rankers

Tha SNCO traning day at the Gajaba Regiment was conducted on 15 November 2017, with the participation of 160 SNCO at Regimental Centre
The training day programme was conducted by Col WHKS Peiris RWP RSP USP Centre Commandant, Gajaba Regiment under the guidance of Maj Gen Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment.

On the invitation of the Seva Vanitha branch of the Gajaba Regiment, the Arrya Foundation held a spiritual development programme and distribution of donations on 9th December 2017 at Regimental Headquarter Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment - Senapura. Gen Shantha Kottegoda (Rtd) the former Commander of the Army, and Mrs. Soniya Kottegoda together with several officials of Arrya Foundation have participated for the event. The ceremony was organized under the direction of Maj Gen Shavendra Silva, Col of the Regt and Mrs. Sujeewa Nelson, the President of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha branch and members of the Seva Vanitha branch as well as the Officers of the Gajaba Regiment were also participated for the event.
