The Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch President, Mrs Janaki Liyanage made a visit to the ‘Abimansala 1’ Wellness Centre in Anuradhapuara on Wednesday (30) and looked into the well-being of differently able war heroes who are under recuperation at the Wellness Centre, her visit was accompanied by few members of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch.
During the visit, Mrs Janaki Liyanage had a cordial interaction with the War Heroes and inquired into their family matters and progress of the recuperation process. The visiting members of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch viewed handicrafts made by the inmates.
At present, there are 24 differently able War Heroes are under recuperation and rehabilitation at ‘Abimansala 1’
Afterwards, Mrs Janaki Liyanage together with other members of the Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch presented gift packs to all the War Heroes and handed over 10 Water Bubbler Dispensers with purified water containers for the use War Heroes.
Later on, Chief Guest sat for a tea with the War Heroes there she had a cordial interaction with them.
Ending the programme, the The Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch Chairperson penned a special note in the Visitors’ Book at ‘Abimansala-1’ and took leave of those veterans. Brigadiaer Kapila Chakrawarthi RSP, Commandant at ‘Abimansala-1’ presented a special memento to Mrs Janaki Liyange as a token of appreciation of her visit to the Abimansala 1.
The event was coordinated by Staff Officer 2 Gajaba Sewa Vanitha Branch Major Darshana Handunge. The Centre Commandant, Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda RWP RSP USP, Staff Officers of Regimental Centre, Officers and other ranks were associated with the visit.
