FOUR MORE VETERAN KETERIANS WERE HONOURED AT THE HOME OF GAJABA ON THE EVE OF THEIR RETIREMENT

The Gajaba Regimental Centre hosted a colorful farewell parade and a Dinner Night to its proud members of Major General Sanath Aluvihare RWP RSP the former General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Divission, Major General RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc the former Overall Security Coordinator Army Headquarters and Dircerctor of Over seas Operation, Brigadier Udaya Serasinghe RWP RSP the former Commander of 121 Infantry Brigade on Wednesday (5) at Home of Gajaba.

The day’s ceremony was commenced with a customary Guard Turnout, Floral tribute to the founding father of the Gajaba Regiment, Major General Vijaya Wimalarathne followed by a colorful parade accorded in their respect. It was organized under the guidance of Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment and Sri Lanka National Guard, Lt Gen Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu. Later a glamorous Farewell Dinner hosted by Colonel of the Regiment was held at the Officers' Mess Gajaba Regimental Centre. Colonel Kapila Ariyadasa RWP RSP the former Colonel Coord SFHQ (West) also joined the farewell dinner.

Members of the Regimental Council, President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit and Gajaba Seva Vanitha Branch, beloved Spouses of Senior Officers and other officers, Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Staff Officers , Commanding Officers, and a gathering of officers were present at this ceremony.
