  • 15TH SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY (LEBANON) UNDERGOES THE COE INSPECTION

    The COE Inspection Team from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) conducted the Second Quarter Contingent Own Equipment (COE) Inspection for the 15th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) on 23 May 2025 at the “Sri Base” camp premises in Naquora, Lebanon.

  • SRIMED LEVEL 2 HOSPITAL IN SOUTH SUDAN CELEBRATES VESAK FESTIVAL

    The Vesak Poya Day, the most important day in the Buddhist calendar was celebrated in a reflective manner at the SRIMED Level 2 Hospital, Bor in South Sudan on 12 May 2025 as a collective effort of all SRIMED staff including the Contingent Commander Lt Col RMDB Rajapaksha USP. The evening commenced with a “Bodhi Pooja Pinkama” and many other colourful events like Buddhist Visual Documentaries, Vesak Lantern Display, Cultural “Bathi Gee” singing performances and “Vesak Dansela” (free refreshments) were included in the programme. Many UNMISS Civilian and Military officials including the Commander Sector East Brig Gen Razzaq Ahmed participated in this event.

  • FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE ON MASS CASUALTY INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

    SRIMED Level 2 Hospital at UNMISS Bor Compound conducted a Field Training Exercise (FTX) on Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Management on 2 May 2025. This simulation involved INDBATT2 Level 1, ETHBATT Level 1, and ROK-HMEC Level 1 medical teams, focusing on the coordinated response to a bomb blast scenario involving eight casualties from a joint operation in Bor Town. This was conducted under the guidance and supervision of the consultants at SRIMED Level 2 Hospital.

    The exercise tested the teams' ability to triage, stabilize, and manage multiple trauma patients in a high-pressure environment. A post-exercise debrief was conducted to review performance and strengthen collaboration for future emergencies.

  • 15TH SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY IN UNIFIL UNDERGOES THE SECOND QUARTER EVALUATION 2025

    The quarterly evaluation of the 15th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) on performances, resource utilization, policy effectiveness and managerial and structural issues of the UNIFIL in Lebanon at Mission Level, conducted by the Evaluation Cell of UNIFIL got underway on Friday 09 May 2025 at the Sri Base Camp.

  • FORCE COMMANDER’S VISIT TO THE SRIMED LEVEL 2 HOSPITAL IN SOUTH SUDAN

    UNMISS Force Commander Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian PVSM AVSM SM VSM visited SRIMED Level 2 Hospital on 01 May 2025. A presentation regarding the structure and duties of the hospital was conducted by the Contingent Commander of SRIMED, Lt Col RMDB Rajapaksha USP. The Force Commander appreciated the service rendered by SRIMED and highlighted the challenges and potential areas for improvement during the discussion.

  • PARTICIPATING IN INTEGRATED SHOT DISTANCE PATROLS BY 11TH CONTINGENT, SRIMED LEVEL 2 HOSPITAL, UNMISS

    Female Officers and Other Ranks representing Gender Focal Points of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital, South Sudan, participated in Integrated Shot Distance Patrols (ISDP) to rural villages of Bor, South Sudan as a part of the programme to Counter Conflict Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) in South Sudan by UNMISS (United Nations Mission in South Sudan). Many issues related to the gender-based violence in these rural villages of South Sudan have been highlighted and addressed successfully as a result of these visits. Officials including GDPs of Indian, Korean and Ethiopian Battalions, UN Police members and Staff Officers participated in this programme.

  • THE MEDAL AWARDING CEREMONY OF THE 15TH SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY AT THE UNITED NATIONS INTERIM FORCE IN LEBANON

    The Medal Awarding Ceremony of the 15th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company at the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the prestigious military ceremony that appreciates the exemplary dedication, made by any specific contingent, took place on 11th February 2025 at the UNIFIL Headquarters, Naqoura, Lebanon where the Sri Lankan contingent was honoured with UN medals.
