Corps of Engineer Services celebrated its 73rd Anniversary was held splendidly at RHQ CES on 10 January 2023. A Guard turnout followed by a Ceremonial Parade was accorded to Brig KMS Kumara, the Colonel Commandant CES and Director Engineer Services. After the group photo appeared, the Colonel Commandant participated in a tea party, opened the swimming pool of the Home of Creators, inaugurated the reconstructed two-storied building and presented the relevant certificates to the ORs who have the NVQ Level 3 certificate of the Corps of Engineer Services.

In connection with the 73rd Anniversary celebrations, the Corps of Engineer Services conducted Multi Religious observances to invoke blessing on all the members of the Corps. The Hindu Religious was conducted at Mayurapathi Sri Bhadrakali Amman Kovil, Wellawatte on 03.01.2023. Lt Col NN Abeysekara CES,SO I(A) Maj PLKP Alwis CES (Snr Arch – Hospital Project (Nara)) , Officers and ORs participated to this event.

In conjunction with the 73rd Anniversary of the Corps of Engineer Services, the ‘Kiri Pindu Pooja’ was held on 16 December 2022 near Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura, in order to pray to the members of the Corps of Engineer Services, their families, flags and to pay tribute to the fallen war heroes.
