The Army War College successfully conducted a session of sharing experience on 26 March 2026, focusing on the pivotal theme “Mullaitivu - from Debacle to Victory” The session featured Major General Nandana Udawatta (Retired) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, a highly decorated and seasoned military leader who led the 59 Infantry Division to advance from Welioya sector, fighting through dense jungles in the Mullaitivu area to capture the town of Mullaitivu on 25 January 2009, shared invaluable insights and first-hand experiences on high-intensity battle operations and leadership.

The Army War College proudly conducted its first Hash Run of the year on Saturday 14 March 2026 and over 200 officers representing Senior Command Course 16, Junior Command Course 35, including Student Officers from friendly foreign nations (Bangladesh and Pakistan) and sister servicers together, faculty and permanent staff with their families participated in the event. The Army War College Cricket Tournament conducted during the First Trimester of the year 2026, was a thrilling event that showcased the talents and sportsmanship, camaraderie and event planning skills where a series of 13 matches were played among 14 teams and concluded on 14 February 2026 at the college playground. The matches were scheduled in evenings allowing both players and spectators to actively participate without disturbing the training schedules.
