Student Officers of Senior Command Course 9 (SCC) undergoing training at Army War College (AWC) Buttala made an educational visit to Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) Diyatalawa on 28 October 2023. Colonel MDSN Karunarathne psc assumed duties as the Chief Instructor of Army War College on 11 October 2023 following a sequence of events as the third Chief Instructor after the elevation of Officer Career Development Centre to Army War College. A simple ceremony of religious observances was held to obtain blessings before symbolically taking up the appointment and the new Chief Instructor placed his signature on an official document symbolising the formal acceptance of the office at the auspicious time.
