‘Leadership Challenges (Command’s Experience)’ is an obligatory subject that is generally conducted by an inherently battle-hardened and experienced senior military Officer who has led the troops in the battle. Having accepted the invitation of the Army War College, the Commander, Security Forces Jaffna (SF-J), Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc MA (IR), conducted the lecture participating as the guest lecturer on 04 April 2024 at the Auditorium of AWC. On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Major General Dinesh Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc the Commandant Army War College.

Student Officers of Senior Command Course 10 (SCC) who are currently undergoing training at the Army War College (AWC) Buttala made an educational visit to the Star Garments Factory managed under the 'Stars' Group, a leading global manufacturing company at the Industrial Zone Buttala located in Monaragala District on 28 March 2024. The visit was a partial fulfilment of the curriculum of the course in studying and enhancing the knowledge of the concepts of Human Resource Management through the process of the apparel manufacturing industry

Student Officers, presently following the Junior Staff Course 25 (JSC) successfully conducted the Reconnaissance session of the Exercise Perfect Hunter at Siyambalanduwa on 21 March 2024. The Chief Instructor of the Army War College visiting the exercise location, observed the Student Officers' engagements where he enlightened the trainees on the salient points of conducting an effective sound reconnaissance. Going into further details, he also elaborated the practical and theoretical aspects of such proceedings

The Senior Command Course 10 undergoing training at Army War College (AWC) completed their study tour to Colombo as programmed from 13 March 2024 to 15 March 2024. The study tour is an important college event that basically aims to enhance the knowledge about the functions of designated government institutions and the headquarters of Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force.

The Diners' Club of the first trimester 2024 was held at the Army War College on 9 March 2024 with the participation of the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, members of the faculty and members of the permanent staff together with 113 Student Officers of the Senior Command Course – 10, Junior Command Course – 29 and Junior Staff Course - 25 including four foreign officers from friendly foreign countries, Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Zambia.

The first Hash Run of 2024 in the event calendar of Army War College was successfully held on 10 March 2024. The event aimed to enhance the camaraderie and athleticism of Student Officers of THE Senior Command Course 10, Junior Command Course 29 and Junior Staff Course 25.
