The Army War College (AWC) Buttala, Sri Lanka, hosted a dignified Graduation Ceremony for the Third Trimester of 2025, on 15 December 2025, at the AWC Auditorium. A total of 151 officers successfully completed the Senior Command Course No 15 (SCC 15), Junior Command Course No 34 (JCC 34), and Junior Staff Course No. 30 (JSC 30), marking a significant milestone in their military careers.

The Army War College has achieved a significant milestone in its history with the successful conduct of a comprehensive War Study, bringing together 27 Student Officers from diverse command and staff backgrounds, including the Senior Command Course (SCC), Junior Command Course (JCC), and Junior Staff Course (JSC). The study examined the critical theme “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Modern Land Warfare and Their Strategic Implications for Sri Lanka”. The Student Officers of Senior Command Course 15 concluded the Exercise ‘Secure Nest’, which encompassed a series of enriching activities, marking a milestone in their professional development career as emerging military leaders of Sri Lanka. The exercise was conducted from 26 to 27 November 2025, to provide Student Officers with a ground-level appreciation of security responsibilities related to men, equipment, operation, and information at battalion level at 3 SLAC, 4 SLSC, 2 ESR, 5 SLEME, and 3 SLCMP.
