ARMY WAR COLLEGE STUDENT OFFICERS CONDUCTED EXERCISE GOD KING IN KATARAGAMA

A total of 117 Student Officers from the Senior Command Course 17 and the Junior Command Course 36 participated. Consistent with Army War College practice, the event was planned and executed by the Student Officers to provide a break from academic routine while deepening their understanding of the religious and historical significance of Kataragama, a major multi-religious destination and a tourist site in the vicinity.

During the visit, the Student Officers, accompanied by the faculty, permanent staff, together with the Chief Instructor and Senior Instructors, offered prayers at the sacred Kiriwehera stupa and visited the ancient Kataragama Devalaya precinct.
