More than 60 war widows and their daughters participated in one day culinary workshop organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance of Mrs. Indu Senevirathne, President SLSR-SVU on 08th of July 2020 at Main Auditorium Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa.
Troops of the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated in one day workshop on ‘First Aid’ conducted by Veteran Nurse, Ms Pushpa Ramyani Soyza and this event was organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance of the Mrs. Indu Senavirathne, President Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit on Wednesday (01) July 2020 at the Main Auditorium , RC SLSR Ambepussa.
The inaugural ceremony of planting Indigenous Meicinal Plants was held under the directions of the Major General Jayantha Senevirathne, Commander Security Force – West and Colonel of the Regiment SLSR on 01st July 2020 at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa.
One day workshop organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit held on 13 June 2020 at Regimental Centre SLSR, it was presided by Major General Jayantha Senevirathne, Commander Security Force (West) and Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Mrs Indu Senevirathna, President Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch was ceremonially held at the Regimental auditorium on 28th December 2019 with the participation of Mrs. Priyamali Mudannayake, the Chairperson of Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit and other Members, the Centre Commandant and Regimental Staff Officers. New office bearers were appointed during the meeting and the event concluded with a lecture on Non Communicable Diseases Conducted by Dr. Gamini Samarasinghe.
Under the supervision of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General M Mudannayake RSP USP and guidance of the President Sinha Seva Vanitha unit Mrs. Priyamali Mudannayake, 3 days residential education programme under topic of “Child Empowering for future leaders” was conducted by psychologist consultant Mr. Chandana Gunawardane covering under mention topics
Donation of study materials for the children of the soldiers fallen war heroes, disabled soldiers, Servicemen and Civilian Staff was organized by Sinha Sewa Vanitha branch of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 28th Sep 2019. Pre-selected 50 children received a sum of Rs. 2500.00 per month for a period of one year as scholarships.
Under the supervision of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General MKD Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and guidance of the President Sinha Seva Vanitha unit Mrs. Shiromi Masakorala, 5 day residential education and leadership programme for Sinha Regiment Officers and ORs childrens with the join hand of veteran psychologist and consultant Mr. Chandana Gunawardane was organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha unit.
Sing-Along Musical Entertainment which is organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch under the supervision of its President Mrs Shiromi Masakorala was held at Grandeeza Hotel Negambo on 21 July 2019.
Scholarships for student in military families to the value of more than Rs 2 million were distributed in a ceremony, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment auditorium on Sunday (2 ), headed by Mrs Shiromi masakorala , president Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit as the Chief guest.
