Sinha Seva Vanitha branch start series of Welfare / Education program to uplift soldiers and their family members living conditions on a concept of Mrs. Shiromi Masakorala the President Sinha Seva Vanitha branch.
The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit visited Abhimansala at Anuradhapuraya on 21.10.2018 and offered a lunch and donated CFL bulbs, Rs. 5499.00 worth of Torstar and valuable gift pack for 31 war heroes to uplift their living conditions. Before the main event, concurrently another series of events were held in front of Jayasirimaha Bodhi and Ruwanwali Maha Seya the day before.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch was ceremonially held at the Regimental auditorium on 30th September 2018 with the participation of Mrs. Shiromi Masakorala, the Chairperson of Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit and more than 120 Sinha Seva Vanitha members, Brigadier Ajith Pallawela RWP RSP the Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Regimental Staff Officers.
A ceremony organized by the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch to mark international women’s day was held at Regimental Centre Ambapussa under the auspices of Mrs. Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramaratne the President Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch on March 10.
At the invitation of Mrs , Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramaratne , president Sinha Sewa Vanitha Unit, Mrs Rani Jayathilaka ex president of Sinha Sewa Vanitha Unit as the Chief Guest, graced the occasion for distribution of those appreciative gifts to a representative group of war heroes and Rranaviru family members. During the event Mrs Rani Jayathilaka addressed the gathering and remind what she did as a president of SSVB
A wide assortment of gifts, including 20 wheel chairs and sum of Rs: 200,000.00 to Ranaviru Seva Authority, 8 water purifiers for soldiers who are suffering from kidney failures, stationary worth of Rs: 7,000.00 for 40 students who passed the GCE (O/L) and (A/L) examinations, special bed worth of Rs: 185,000.00 for the daughter of Sergeant Alexander PGIB, who is disable by birth, Electric Organ and scholarship worth of Rs: 15,000.00 for five students donated by Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit (SSVU) at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ampeussa on Saturday (27) January 2018.
The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit visited Abhimansala 2 at Kamburupitiya and offered a lunch and donated 9 wade flaks, 2 irons and gift parcels for the inmates (wellness resort for dependent war heroes) with the collaboration of 12th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch was held on Saturday (23) at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa with the participation of more than 150 members.
Mrs Ruvini Sujeewa Wcikramarathna, the president of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while the Colonel of the Regiment attended as the Guest of honour.
The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch successfully carried out a welfare programme on 17 December 2017 for inward patients of National Institute of Mental Health at Mulleriyawa.
The President of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Chandrika Senanayake and the President of Sri Lanka Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramaratne have graced this occasion along with Presidents of other Regiments’ Seva Vanitha Branches and large number of members of Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch too attended for the event.
