Sewa Wanitha

A programme to commemorate International Women’s Day was conducted on 14 March 2026 at the Regimental Center of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the patronage of Mrs. Yamuna Abeykoon, President of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch. The event was attended by 110 spouses of Officers and Other Ranks.

Under the initiative of Mrs. Indunil Jayakody, Chairperson of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch, a special programme was conducted on 04 October 2025 at the SOS Children’s Village, Piliyandala, in commemoration of World Children’s Day, which falls on 1 October 2025.

On 30th July 2025, a compassionate visit was undertaken to Abhimansala 3 – Kurunegala Wellness Centre, led by Mrs. Idunil Jayakody, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch. The visit aimed to inquire into the well-being of the brave war heroes undergoing residential care at the facility.

A Blood Donation Program was successfully held on 06 June 2025 at the Regimental Center, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Ambepussa, in conjunction with the Poson Full Moon Poya Day. This initiative was launched based on a concept by Mrs. Indunil Jayakody, Chairperson of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch. The event was further graced by the presence of the Deputy Commander of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Siinha Regiment, Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP.
