AGM of SLSR-SVU Held at AMBEPUSSA

Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment - Seva Vanitha Unit (SLSR-SVU) was held at the SLSR Regimental Centre, Ambepussa on 29th August 2020 under the patronage of Mrs. Indu Seneviratne, President, SLSR - SVU.

During this AGM, new members for the committees were appointed. Meanwhile, two scholarships were given to the children of SLSR war heroes. M. Suraji Deshani Perera who got selected to the University and M.M.D Malini Sandeepani Gunathilake who has achieved A-9 Passes at the G.C.E Ordinary Level Exam in 2019 received their scholarships. One of the disabled soldiers who got injured during humanitarian operation was also donated with an artificial limb on this occasion.

After the AGM all members participated in the get-together held at the Officers’ mess of RC SLSR. Mrs Anoma Fonseka and Mrs. Rani Jayathilake former Presidents of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit graced the occasion as the distinguished Guests.

Several Senior Members and Members of the Sinha SVU also took part in the event.
