Troops of the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated in one day workshop on ‘First Aid’ conducted by Veteran Nurse, Ms Pushpa Ramyani Soyza and this event was organized by Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance of the Mrs. Indu Senavirathne, President Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit on Wednesday (01) July 2020 at the Main Auditorium , RC SLSR Ambepussa.
The lecture, Group Activities and demonstration were conducted by Miss Pushpa Ramyani Soyza, a Nurse at the National Hospital Colombo and presently holding the appointment of Team Leader of the Triage and Information Unit, National Coordinator for Trauma System Development and Disaster Management.
This workshop was focused on specialized training on First Aid and the reactions of emergency and Disaster situations. The soldiers were expanded their knowledge and importance of First Aid during the emergency situation to make society to live in.
Major Sameera Dassanayake, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion SLSR appreciated Miss Pushpa Ramyani Soyza, a nurse at the National Hospital Colombo and her team members during his vote of thanks and handed over a memento as a token of appreciation.
Mrs. Indu Senavirathne, President SLSR-SVU, Brigadier Dammika Dissanayake, Centre Commandant RC SLSR, Senior Officers, Officers and around 100 Army Troops of the SLSR attentively took part in the workshop.
