Brigadier DSS Radalage RWP RSP assumed the duties as the 37th Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade on 6 May 2024, at the Brigade Headquarters in Kohuwala. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the brigade staff, and a guard turnout was presented at the entrance. Following traditional customs, the newly appointed Brigade Commander officially assumed his duties at the Brigade Commander’s office amidst pirith chanting, a sacred Buddhist ritual.

The 61 Infantry Division organized a formal farewell on 10 April 2024 at its Boossa premises to honor Major General RAJN Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, who is relinquishing his role as the General Officer Commanding. Troops from the 2(V) Gemunu Watch (GW) conducted a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour ceremony in the parade square. Officers, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and Other Ranks of the division attended the event.

Under the guidance of Major General KAWNH Bandaranayaka USP, the General Officer Commanding - 14 Infantry Division, a heifer has been liberated from a slaughterhouse as part of the 13th Anniversary celebrations of the division. This act was achieved through the remarkable contributions of all ranks within the under command Brigades and Battalions.

The 14 Infantry Division celebrated its 13th anniversary with a series of events on 6 April 2024. The day commenced with a colorful Guard Turnout at the entrance followed by a ceremonial parade at the 6 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment parade ground at Panagoda, in honor of Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division. Subsequently, the Chief Guest, along with the Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, and All Ranks of the under-command Brigades and Battalions, participated in an All Ranks Tea Party.
