Cornerstone For Pre-School Building Laid in Navatkuli

Responding to the request made by the villagers during the public meeting with Commander Security Force -Jaffna at Navatkuli village on 30 March 2021, laid this cornerstone for a pre-school.Troops of 12th Battalion of the GemunuWatchwillprovide required manpower and technical expertise for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 523Infantry Brigade. Further, Jaffna troops will provide materials for the construction work.

Tamil Sign Language Course Ends in Certificate Awarding Ceremony

The Commander Security Force Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu participated the ceremony as Chief Guest together with Miss. Nagendram Vijitha-Director of Vithu Trust Fund. Certificate Awarding Ceremony took place at the Thalsevana Army Holiday Resort and successfully completed 21 participants including Tamil students and government officials received their certificates on 8 April 2021 and this was followed a series of cultural events performed civil and military personnel which beautified the ceremony.

Foreign Employees Proceeding Home After Government Quarantine Process

A number of 115 foreign employees and students flew from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bangladesh, Jordan, Qatar, Lebanon, Italy, Cyprus, and Dubai set off to their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Vasavilan Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Monday, 05 April 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP ndu. Soon after the awarding of certificates personnel who underwent the quarantine process appreciated the commitment and dedication of the army troops at Vasavillan Quarantine Centre.

119 Employees of Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery Leave Jaffna After Quarantine

A number of 119 employees from Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery set off to their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Periyapachchilaipalai Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Sunday, 04 April 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by the Commander 553 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Sujeewa Jayasingha. Soon after the awarding of certificates personnel who underwent the quarantine process commended the commitment and dedication of the army troops at Periyapachchilaipalai Quarantine Centre.

Donations Distribution Programme Took Place in Eve of “Madin Full Poya Day”

In line with the “Madin Full Moon Poya day’s programmes” and with the intension of enhancing the reconciliation among the communities, the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna organized a provision of dry ration packets for under privileged families, school items for needy children and baby items for pregnant women on Sunday, 28 March 2021. This donation programme was held at the Tissa Rajamaha Viharaya Temple premises, Kankesanturai on absolute directions and supervision of the Commander Security Force–Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera.

Army Collaborates With Sri Lanka Nippon Educational and Cultural Centre to Award Scholarships for Needy Students

The Sri Lanka Nippon Educational and Cultural Centre (SLNEC) in collaboration with Sri Lanka Army organized an awarding of scholarships and distribution of stationary items for needy students in Jaffna District on Sunday, 28 March 2021 at an occasion held at the Sri Nagaviharaya in Jaffna. 12 Students from Jaffna who have excelled in studies were awarded with monthly scholarships and given with stationeries sufficient for the upcoming year. Vouchers of School Shoes were also distributed to these needy students.
