A medical clinic was held for the retired, medical board out Army personals and families of KIA and MIA persons on 5th January 2015 at Manampitiya “Prathiba Hall”, Polonnaruwa. Lt Gen DayaRathnayaka, the Commander of the Army grace the occasion as the chief guest.

5th Regt Sri Lanka Artillery located under the 224 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) helped to clean and renovate 60 x houses and 30 x wells at Kanguweli, Alimnagar in Muthur DS area on 04th Jan 2015. (Troops participated 00 x 10)

22nd Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Serunuwara under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East) helped to clean a School which was polluted due to floods at Gamini Viddiyalaya in Sirimangalapura on 04th January 2014.(Troops participated 01 x 08)

27th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) helped to clean a well and House which was polluted due to floods at Karakamunai, Ilangathurei, Mohoththuwaram and Wattawan in Verugal DS area on 04th Jan 2014. (Troops participated 02x 20)

27th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) has taken necessary steps to ease off the inundation of Mawadichena - Verugal road with the assistance of Road Development Authority on 03rd January 2014. (Troops participated 04 x 35)

8th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 241 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), provided assistance to renovate the road running from Pulipanchikal to Kiran which was damaged due to the heavy rain with the assistance of Divitional Secaratarate Koraleipaththu South on 06 January 2015 (No of Troops Participated 01 x15)

22nd Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Serunuwara under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force Headquarters (East) helped to clean 5x flood effected houses on 05th January 2014.(Troops participated 01 x 08)

9 GW, 3 SLNG and 24 SLNG under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) Organized a distribution of School amenities among 102 x School Students at Vakarei, Punani and Welikanda areas with the generous Sponsorship of Jaya Sathuta Foundation in Colombo. 233 Bde comd, CO’s at 9 GW, 3 SLNG and 24 SLNG and several other officers also participated for the occasion. This was held on 06 January 2015 (No of troops participated 02 x 10)
