MEDICAL CLINIC FOR RETIED/MEDICAL BOARD OUT ARMY PERSONAL AND FAMILIES OF KIA AND MIA PERSONS
A medical clinic was held for the retired, medical board out Army personals and families of KIA and MIA persons on 5th January 2015 at Manampitiya “Prathiba Hallâ€, Polonnaruwa. Lt Gen DayaRathnayaka, the Commander of the Army grace the occasion as the chief guest.
Under the concept of “Healthy Army - Healthy Nation†program Brig ASM Wijewardena conducted an awareness lecture on non-communicable deceases. Followed by the medical clinic conducted with the assistance of consultant, doctors of Polonnaruwa hospital and the Army doctors from Victory military hospital. All present were served with meals and children were entertained at the children’s corner.
Maj Gen LalPerera, Commander of Security Force (East) and officers organized this event with the guidance of the Commander of the Army.
