  • 3(V) SLAWC ORGANIZES 'SUWANARI MEDICAL CLINIC' FOR WOMEN

    ‘Suwanari Medical Clinic’, organized jointly by the troops of 3(V) SLAWC, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and Sri Lanka Women's Bureau to coincide with the International Women's Day, provided medical consultations to more than 50 Woman soldiers and civil servants on 27 February. The attendees were examined, diagnosed and given free medical treatments during the medical clinic.

  • 233 BRIGADE DISTRIBUTES CASHEW PLANTS AMONG SCHOOL CHILDREN

    Under the programme of “GREEN LANKA, a donation of cashew plants was organized by 233 Brigade at BT/KK/Mankerny R.C.T.M.S on 08 Mar 2018 with the view to protect the Mother Nature. On this occasion, 2000 cashew plants were distributed among school children and school staff.

    Reality Based Self Defence (RBSD) or Reality Based Martial Arts refer to systems of self defence that focus exclusively on reality based self defence scenarios and conditions. Unlike mixed martial arts and traditional martial arts styles like karate, reality based self defence is not a hobby or sport and it does not participate in tournaments or sport combat competitions. It's all about learning how to fight for self defence in a actually threatened scenario.

  • 22 DIVISION TROOPS CONTRIBUTE TO DIABETE’S WALK AT TRINCOMALEE

    Under the theme “ Let’s Defat Diabetes” Sri Lanka Diabete’s Federations and Lions Club 306 jointly organized a 310 Km Diabetes walk, Commenced at Hindu Cultural Center Ground, Trincomalee on 19 Monday. Wending its way through Dambulla, Kandy, Mavanella, Kotiyakumbura, Hanwella and concluding at Battaramulla Diyatha Uyana. During the walk conducting Diabetes awareness program for the general public.   • 233 BRIGADE IMPLEMENTED SOCIAL ACTIVITES

    Under the theme of “GREEN LANKA,’’ 233 Brigade initiated programme to distribute 1500 Cashew plants among the school children and their staff at Palchchenei Government Tamil School at Kadiraweli Area on 15 Feb 2018. The Commander 233 Brigade Col KA Samarasiri RWP RSP USP psc and head of DILMAH Company Mr. Asanka Abekoon participated on the occasion.

  • INTER-DIVISION ELLE & NETBALL TOURNAMENTS - SECURITY FORCES (EAST)

    Elle players of 22 Division and netball players of 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) respectively secured championship trophies in the Inter Regiment Elle and Netball Tournaments, in the finals played on Friday (16) at SF HQ (E) grounds, WELIKANDA.

    Commander Security Forces East Major General Santhusitha Pananwala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest encouraging the players who had their final rounds of the tournaments which were organized by SF HQ (East). The teams of SF HQ (East), 03 x Divs and FMA (East) were confronted during the tournaments on knock-out basis.

The initiative was initiated by the Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Santhusitha Pananwala as a gesture of goodwill.
