The wild fire occurred on 17 September 2020 in Galkanda area in Diyatalawa and Diganathenna area in Bandarawela was doused by the troops of the SF HQ (Cen) on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. A team consisting of one officer and fifteen soldiers reached the place immediately and doused the wild fire completely.

Orientation programmes for 50 000 graduates, recruited to public sector were commenced on 14 September 2020 island-wide. In parallel with this ‘Saubhagyaye Dekma’ programme which is conducted under the direction of HE the President, the training establishments of Security Forces (Central) also commenced the orientation training programmes under the supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. Intending to uplift the leadership qualities, confidence, knowledge, skills as well as attitudes to achieve the objectives of the nation through energetic and effective work force these training programmes were designed and conducted by the military personnel. Moreover, Senior Officers, Officers and instructors of the under command training schools participated in the inauguration ceremony.

Major General W M J R K Senarathne RWP RSP relinquished the appointment of the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division which is under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 02 September 2020. On the same day a Guard Turnout was accorded to the outgoing General Officer Commanding by the troops of 10 Gajaba Regiment. That was followed by a troop address and a tea party. All the Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Division and its under command Brigades and Units also participated in this event.

Special Dengue Eradication Programmes were launched within the selected areas in Kandy District from 27 August 2020 to 29 August 2020. Since the area is located in the responsible area of 11 Division, military personnel also provided the labour assistance in order to control the threat of spreading dengue fever in the area. Moreover, health officials as well as government officials also assisted these programms to conduct them successfully.

The wild fire occurred in Thampalawela, Dambagalla area in Monaragala was controlled by the troops on 22 August 2020.somer the incident reported,Two officers and twenty five soldiers from 121 Brigade rushed to place and controlled the fire on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP and the supervision of the Brigade Commander of 121 Brigade, Colonel D U N Serasinghe RWP RSP.
