    Officers at Security Forces Headquarters (Central) were lectured on Decision Making Techniques on the direction of the Commander Security Force (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP ndu.

    “The Environment is Worshipful” (Parisaraya Pujaniyai) is an annual programme which is launched to protect the environment by the Central Provincial Council and this year also the said programme was launched on 28 and 29 July 2019 in the Kandy District aiming to clean the city prior to the Esala Perahera. The Governor of Central Province, President’s Counsel Mithri Gunarathne along with Officers of Tri Forces and Police and other state workers actively participated in this nature friendly programme.

  • THE FAIR AT PALLEKELE VIRU KEKULU PRE SCHOOL

    Pallekele Viru Kekulu Pre- School which is located in the responsible area of 11Division of Security Forces (Central) organized a fair (Singithi Pola) at school premises on 23 July 2019.

  • HIGH COMMISSIONER OF PAKISTAN VISITS KANDY

    The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka along with a delegation visited Kandy which is in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) on 16,17 and 18 July 2019. The delegation visited Peradeniya Botanical garden as well as the official residence of the Commander of the Army. Further, they visited the Kandy City Centre and the Vice Chancellor of the Peradeniya University also joined them.

  • TROOPS OF 3 SR RECOVERED THE DEAD BODY OF THE MISSING SCHOOL GIRL

    The prevailed weather condition of the country badly affected many areas. Consequent to that on 18 July 2019 two school girls and a boy fell into the gushing waters of a waterway while crossing in Agra section of Torrington Estate in Agarapathana which is located in the responsible area of 11 Division. The civilians of the area managed to rescue the boy and the two girls were went missing in the water. Later at night the dead body of one of the girls was found and the other dead body was recovered on 19 July 2019 by the troops of 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR). For this search operation one officer and ten other ranks participated in putting a great effort to recover the dead body.

  • THE GOC 11 DIVISION VISITS KANDY

    Major General W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu paid homage to the noblest Temple of the Tooth after the assumption of duties as the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Division. Further, the GOC has paid a courtesy call on Chief Prelates of Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters. The senior officers as well as officers of the Division also participated in this visit.

  • A CONFERENCE HELD TO DISCUSS THE SECURITY OF ESALA PERAHERA

    A defence coordinating conference was conducted to discuss about the matters pertaining to the annual Esala Maha Perehera of Kandy. This conference was held on 19 July 2019 at the conference hall of 11 Division and it was chaired by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Division, Major General W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu.

  • NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 11 DIV ASSUMES DUTIES

    Major General W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Division which is under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) at an auspicious time scheduled at 0932 on 09 July 2019.

  • A BANGLADESH SENIOR MILITARY OFFICER VISITS KANDY

    Major General M D Enayet Ullah BSP ndu psc, a senior officer of Bangladesh Army visited Kandy which is in the responsible area of Security Force (Central) on 05 July 2019 along with Bangladesh Officers. They were welcomed by the Brigade Commander of 111 Brigade, W M R S T Aluvihare RWP RSP, and the General Staff Officer 1(Coord) of 11 Division, Lieutenant Colonel S U K B Senanayake SLA. On the same day they visited the Sri Dalanda Maligawa and the Jumma Masjid. The visiting officers left Kandy around 1600 hours concluding their visit.

  • THE GOC VISITS 11 DIVISION AOR

    10th July 2019 08:40:18 Hours

    Major General T J Nanayakkara RWP VSV USP ndu, the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division made an official visit within the responsible area of 11 Division before relinquishing his duties. He visited 111 Brigade, 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Sri Lanka Rifle Corps and 2(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. In addition, the visiting Commander was honoured with a Guard Turnout. On 05 July 2019 the GOC addressed the troops of 11 Division and participated in the All Ranks’ Tea at the premises of the Division.
