As per the concept of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of Commander Security Forces Headquarters Central, Major General NR Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu a workshop on Production of Organic Fertilizers was held on 25 and 26 June 2021 at Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Diyatalawa Farm. Officers and Other Ranks of 11 and 12 Infantry Division participated in this workshop.

Uwa Wellassa Media, organized a charity event to distribute dry ration packs for needy families in Haldummulla, Weerakoon Village area on 08 June 2021 under the theme “Kusagini Niwana Manusheeya Meheyuma” with the coordination of the Commander SFHQ (Central), Major General N R Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu. Troops of SFHQ (Cen) extended their assistance to complete the event successfully.

In response to the covid-19 pandemic situation in the country, dry ration packs distribution programme was organized by Brigadier S I P Vidanagamage RSP IG under the supervision of the Commander SFHQ (Central), Major General N R Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu and the instructions of GOC 12 Infantry Division Major General R A D P Ranawaka RWP RSP USP. This event was sponsored by “The Second Coffee International Organization” to distribute dry ration packs for 35 needy families in Hambanthota area on 31 May 2021.

Under the Instruction of Commander Security Force Central and guidance of the GOC 12 Infantry Division and supervision of commander 122 Infantry Brigade, a Covid Treatment Center at the Nakulugamuwa Regional Hospital was constructed by the troops of 23GR and 3 SLNG. The newly constructed Covid Treatment Center was handed over to the hospital staff on 18 may 2021.

Under the guidance of the GOC 12 Infantry Division Major General RADP Ranawaka RWP RSP USP and Supervision of Commander 122 Infantry Brigade, a covid treatment centre at the Base hospital Tangalle was constructed by the troops of 23 GR, 3 SLNG, ESR. The newly constructed covid treatment Center was handed over to the hospital staff on 13 May 2021 and the treatments were started on the same day for covid patients.
