    The prime event of 133rd Regimental Anniversary Celebrations took place at the Regimental Monument, Panagoda on 22 April 2021 by paying tribute to the fallen war heroes of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

    Overnight Pirith Chanting ceremony was held in the evening on 21 April 2021 in line with the 133rd Regimental Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony and concluded with the offer of alms giving to Maha Sanga on 22 Thursday morning where religious blessings were invoked on the heroic Gunners who paid the supreme sacrifice.

    Artillery Inter Regiment T20 Soft Ball Cricket Tournament 2021, organized by the 4th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, with the objectives of selecting much talented and potential players of the Sri Lanka Artillery and grooming them for forthcoming regimental level tournaments in order to gain competitive exposure, was kicked off 08 February 2021 and continued until 24 February 2021.

  • COURSE NUMBER 2 OF DRONE TRAINING COMMENCED

    Taking a progressive step ahead as according to the 'Army Way Forward 2025' visionary plan of CDS and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, Drone Regiment is been equipped with 6 more number of highly technically advanced DRONEs. After acquire the equipment, troops of 15 Drone Regiment SLA commenced 2nd Phase of training on 24 February 2021 at PANAGODA. By gracing the occasion, Colonel Commandant Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, emphases the devotion and interest to be maintained towards the training and guided to absorb all related aspects of technical handling enthusiastically. The Centre Commandant and Commander Artillery Brigade, senior officers, officers and men attended for the simple but dignified ceremony. During the speeches' of Colonel Commandant and Commander Artillery Brigade paid their respectful gratitude with great honour to the CDS and Commander of the Army for the opportunity provided to function Drone Regiment under SL Artillery and mentioned all the guidance and instructions given and most importantly approving the financial requirement to procure new DRONEs. Also emphasized the support given by Dr. Manju Gunawardhana from the inception of this regiment.

  • Farewell to Major General MP Lamahewa USP

    The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery bid a farewell to Major General MP Lamahewa USP, on 22 February 2021 at his retirement from the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army after serving more than 34 years and the Ceremony was held at Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
