Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to its outgoing 19th Colonel Commandant Major General WRP de Silva VSV USP ndu IG on 04 January 2020 who retired after serving more than 34 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Artillery Regimental Headquarters, Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Panagoda.

Major General WRP de Silva VSV USP ndu IG, the Colonel Commandant and the Master Gunner of the Regiment of Artillery precede at the event with the participation of 32 Gunnery Instructors.

In order to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch the president Mrs Ludmila de Silva and members of the branch paid tribute to 330 differently able soldiers on the 16 Dec 19 by inviting them to a movie, which was screened at Regal Cinema, Colombo sponsored by Ceylon Theaters (Pvt) Ltd. there after they were ushered in for lunch hosted by Hilton Colombo.

The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery bid a farewell to Major General L F Kasthuriarachchi KSV on 01 December 2019 at his retirement after serving more than 34 years in the Volunteer Force of the Sri Lanka Army and Ceremony was held at Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

A felicitation ceremony was held to express congratulations and respect for Major General K N S Kotuwegoda ndc IG and Major General A S Hewawitharana RSP USP ndc IG who were recently promoted to the rank of Major General in their career as Gunner Officers. The customary event unfolded on 21 November 2019 at Regimental Headquarter premises, Panagoda with the participation of large number of officers and other ranks. On behalf of the Colonel Commandant and all officers and other ranks of the Regiment, the Centre Commandant extended the best wishes of the Regiment to the newly promoted Major Generals.
