The School of Artillery successfully conducted the Post Depot course - FD 212 and culminated with the splendid passing out parade on 28 September 2019 by proving the School of Artillery is the Alma matter of all the professional gunners. Well trained 71 new Gunners were passed out and joined to the Gunner tribe by witnessing over 2000 of their parents and relatives.

The Colonel Commandant Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Maj Gen WRP de Silva VSV USP ndu IG paid his second visit to the School of Artillery, Minneriya after taking over duties as the Colonel Commandant to attend for the Gunner Supercross -2019 final progressive conference held at the School of Artillery Conference Hall. After reviewing the Guard Turnout presented to the Colonel Commandant at the School entrance, the Supercross Conference was started as the first event of the day. The Commanding Officers of all units and responsible officers, briefed the progress of their assigned responsibilities in upcoming major event in the Regimental Calendar. The Commanding officers’ Conference was the next event in days’ programme followed by the Colonel commandants’ field visit at the Gunners’ Track where the responsible officers briefed their assigned tasks & responsibilities and the progress thus far.
