The Army Inter Regiment Volleyball Championship 2024 took place from 25 June to 25 July, and the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery emerged as the Champions of Volleyball Championship after 11 Years, by defeating the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps who had been Champions of 2019 and 2022. The finals were held at the APTS Gymnasium, Panagoda on 25 July 2024.

The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery celebrated the Vesak Festival 2024 symbolizing religious harmony under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on Vesak Poya Day (23 May 2024). Coincide with the Vesak festival, the troops of the Gunner Family organized a Jack and Chickpea Dansala near the Habarakada Gate, Panagoda.

The presence of the former Commander of the Army Gen CS Weerasooriya (Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndc as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Dilhani Weerasooriya as the Guest of Honour, added significance to the event.

The Regiment of Artillery became the Champions in the 57th Army Road Race and Inter Regiment Tug of War Championship - 2024. Both teams were appreciated by the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG on 01 March 2024 at his Office. The team members were awarded with a cash gift in appreciation of the contribution and outstanding performances displayed during the event.

The Army Inter Regiment Tug of War Competition - 2024 was held on 28 and 29 February 2024 at Russel Heyn Ground (SLLI) - Panagoda. The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery secured the Heavy Weight (640 Kg) Championship and Light Weight (560 Kg) Championship after Four Years under the supervision and guidance of the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG. The Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Gunner family were on the ground to cheer up and encourage the champions.

The 57th Army Road Race, in conjunction with the 58th Army Athletics Championship 2024, commenced from the Army Headquarters at 0600 hrs on 23 February 2024. The race covered a total distance of 21 km and terminated successfully at the APTS - Panagoda. The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery became champions among 24 Regiments.
