Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to outgoing 22nd Colonel Commandant Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu on 12 October 2023, who retired after serving more than 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Artillery Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

The Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV US ndu who visited Lebanon together with the DGGS of Sri Lanka Army, Major General M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc and Colonel Overseas Operations, Colonel P P C Perera psc to participate in the Ceremonial Medal Awarding Parade of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL, paid a formal visit to the Sri Base camp in Greenhill, Naquora on 07 September 2023 for a troop address.

The Sri Lankan military delegation led by the Chief Of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe together with Director General General Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe, Colonel Overseas Operations, Colonel P P C Perera psc made a courtesy call on the Deputy Force Commander of UNIFIL, Brigadier General Chok Bahadur Dhakal on 06 September 2023, before attending the Ceremonial Medal Awarding Ceremony of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL. The Sri Lankan delegation was warmly welcomed by the DFC at his office and was followed by a formal discussion.

The Ceremonial Medal Awarding Parade of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL, Lebanon was successfully conducted at 1600 hrs on 06 September 2023, at the Soedirman camp in Greenhill, Naquora. The parade consisted of a Colour party, foot column and mechanized column with the Ghana Battalion Army Band, was commanded by Lt Col Sampath Fernando USP of Sri Lanka Engineers.

A military delegation consisting of 3 members and led by the Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu, paid a courtesy call on by the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon, HE Kapila Susantha Jayaweera on 05 September 2023 at the Ambassador's official resisidence in Beiruit, Lebanon. The courtesy call on was arrange prior to the Ceremonial Medal Awarding Parade of the 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL which is scheduled on 06 September at the Greenhill camp in UNIFIL HQ, Naquora.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, under the patronage of the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Chama Wanasinghe, organized a Scholorship Awarding Programme for differently abled children of Officers and Other Rankers in the Regiment, on 17 August 2023, at the Regimental Officers Mess premises. This noble undertaking has bestowed immeasurable value upon those who are most deserving of care, attention and affection. Brave fathers and mothers of 24 differerntly abled Children, participated as recipients and this will undoubtedly a great relief for them for sure! Not forgetting the utmost dedication of Snipers in the final stages of the Humanitarian operation, 3 Children also awarded with scholorships, who their fathers were 2 brave snipers (Sgt Malika J A R - KIA and Sgt Rathnasiri K P (Rtd)).

An Accommodation facility in the Regimental Centre, Panagoda was fully renovated with the guidance of Colonel Commandant and Supervision of the Staffs of the Regimental Centre. The troops of the Regiment actively contributed their assistance during this entire process.
