SG 9067 aircraft arrived from Mumbai to Colombo last night (6) with 86 expatriates. Likewise, the flight UL 504 will arrive from the United Kingdom with 278 passengers this morning (7).

Sri Lankan Airlines Flight UL 1206 this morning (6) brought down one more batch of 235 Sri Lankan expatriates from Hamburg, Germany to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on a directive given by HE the President.

As stated yesterday (5) the UL 1206 Sri Lankan Flight is scheduled to arrive in Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in a few hours (6) from Hamburg, Germany with expatriates, comprised of 236 civil ship crew stranded in foreign ports. The Presidential Task Force (PTF) at Rajagiriya National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), co-headed by Mrs Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Hon Minister of Health, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Head of the NOCPCO, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army and Dr Anil Jasinghe, Director General of Health Services this afternoon (3) had one more review of the developments as regards the status quo of COVID-19 transmission in the country, together with a handful of experts and other stakeholders.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) extending his heartfelt and deep sense of gratitude to the Club Hotel Dolphin Chairman and Management, being the first and most generous to respond to the national need by making the entire Hotel and its staff available to the Army on its own for quarantine procedures free of charge, commended them for their national interests by inviting Hotel representatives and coordinators to the Commander's office recently.
