The Flight SG 9067 arrived in Colombo from Mumbai last night (6) with 62 Sri Lankans out of 86 in total. The all were sent to Wellawatte Ozone Hotel for quarantine process. The rest of 24 foreign passengers have flown to Qatar on the same flight, a statement issued by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Likewise, 278 individuals who arrived here from UK by Sri Lankan Flight UL 504 this morning (7) have been sent to Kosgoda Sheraton Hotel (34), Club Dolphin Waikkal (10), Waskaduwa Citrus Hotel (13), Rajagiriya Ayurveda Hospital (110), Negombo Ranweli Hotel (92), Wadduwa Blue Waters (18) and Diyatalawa Gemunu Watch Quarantine Centre (1) where quarantine process is done.
128 more individuals upon completion of quarantine process at Hotel Blue Waters (117), Nipuna Boossa (10) and Ruwala Kalpitiya (1) Quarantine Centres left for their homes today (7) after conduct of PCR tests and receipt of Quarantine Certificates.
By today (7), a total of 12,218 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes. As of now, 5,347 persons are still in quarantine in 45 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.
By today (7), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 847 in total. Of them, 488 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 359 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
