5,038 Individuals Still in Quarantine in Tri Service-run QCs

70 more individuals who underwent quarantining at tri service-managed Gannoruwa (ITI) (41), Agricultural Holiday Bungalow - Gannoruwa (01) National Building - Kundasale (01) Co-operative Building - Pallekele (01) and Hotel Blue Water (26) Quarantine Centres (QCs) after conduct of PCR tests on them left for their residences today (01) with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this afternoon (1) by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

Accordingly, by today (01), a total of 11,558 individuals quarantined in tri service-managed Quarantine Centres (QC) have left for their homes.

As of now, 5,038 persons are still in quarantine in island-wide 44 QCs, run by tri services. By today (01), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 754 in total, including 04 sailors reported positive in the past 24 hours. Out of them, 411 fully recovered infected sailors have left hospitals and the remainder still under treatment in hospitals stands at 343, the statement concluded.
