As the Corps of Engineer Services celebrated its remarkable 75 years of service to the nation, Inter-Regiment Cricket Tournament took place at the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Playground on 18th, 19 th, 20 th and 21 st December. The cricket tournament showcased the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience that the Corps embodies. 18 teams representing All the Engineer Services Regiments and other three establishments along with Directorate of Engineer Services team and Regimental Headquarters team compete together for the champion trophy.

The 13th Annual Green Building Awards Ceremony of the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka was held on December 19, 2024, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) . In a remarkable achievement, 14 officers from the CES were awarded certificates for successful completion of the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka’s (GBCSL) Associate Professional Training Program and officially enlisting them as Associate Professionals of the GBCSL.

The event was held to bring happiness to the children of Mavupiya sevana Children Development Centre at Kumbuka, Gonapala and Hiripitiya marking a memorable and meaningful day of generosity and celebration.

An insightful knowledge-sharing session was organized by the Directorate of Engineer Services (Dte of ES) in collaboration with College of Military Engineering Technology Sri Lanka (CMETSL) aimed at enhancing technical expertise and shaping the future of military engineering and technology within the tri-forces. The session, which focused on the Challenges and Lessons Learned from Planning, Designing, and Construction of Commandos’ Confidence Jump Arena Project at Uva – Kuda oya” which is a brainchild of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lt Gen HLVM Liyanage RWP RSP ndu. The project was initiated with the scope of enhancing training facilities of the Special Forces of the tri forces and to provide facilities for foreign military training programmes. The event took place at the Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services (RHQ CES) on 04 December 2024.

Following the direction given by RHQCES, a lecture on the prevention of drug addiction and drug trafficking was organized and conducted by 7(V) ESR today (27) at the auditorium of Narahenpita Military Hospital, organized by the 71 Project Squadron. The session, attended by 4 officers and 264 soldiers , was delivered by Dr. Gayan Jayawardena, a renowned psychiatrist and co-founder of the Saddham Arya Foundation. Dr. Jayawardena, known for conducting numerous awareness programs on addiction, provided valuable insights into combating drug abuse addressing the challenges of drug trafficking. The lecture was concluded by addressing the soldiers personally, working in 15 storied Military hospital construction site.
